globe_handsThe University of Phoenix thanks alumni, students, faculty, staff, speakers and community members who gathered at its Costa Mesa Learning Center to celebrate Earth Day April 22, 2010. The celebration acknowledged the recent top seat ranking of the University in Newsweek Magazine Green Ranking, and highlighted the university’s green practices on campus and its curriculum in sustainability.

Experts from EcoMotion, SolarWorld-USA, TradeVentures and the SoCal EPA shared valuable information on greener options address Global Climate Change. And SoCal EPA Scientist, Dr. Nabil Yacoub gave the Keynote Address.

Participants also explored the “green room” where exhibitors displayed several new earth-friendly products and services.
