SAN GABRIEL, CA., Saturday, January 21, 2012-It was a rainy morning, but that did not stop supporters of Dr. Matthew Lin, a Republican, to celebrate the grand opening of Campaign Headquarters in his race for California's newly redrawn 49th Assembly District. Located in the heart of the district, the HQ grand opening welcomed over 250 friends, family members and elected officials.

Amongst those present were U.S. Rep. Ed Royce, CA Senator Bob Huff, CA Assembly Member Curt Hagman, Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca, Los Angeles City Attorney Carmen Trutanich and numerous local city mayors, council members and school board members.

The campaign was kicked off officially in early December, and was followed by a successful fundraiser that brought in over $200,000 according to a press release.

Dr. Matthew Lin is a well-known orthopaedic surgeon and successful business owner who been living and practicing orthopaedic surgery in the San Gabriel Valley for the last 30 years. He has thousand of patients throughout the West Valley and is involved with ownership and management of local hospitals, including Garfield Hospital in Monterey Park.
