Metro has created some helpful new tools to make riding the system easier for senior and disabled customers. For seniors, a free packet contains a large print Rider’s Guide for Seniors with a wide selection of basic information, including Metro bus and rail fares, safety tips and contact numbers for lost-and-found, a special TAP User’s Guide with everything seniors need to know about obtaining and using a reduced-fare pass on TAP and a Senior Pocket Guide containing essential system details.For the disabled, there is a Guide for Riders with Disabilities, a TAP Users’s Guide for disabled passengers and a brochure detailing services provided by Metro regarding the use of safety straps to secure wheelchairs and other mobility devices when traveling on buses.
