Metro has created some helpful new tools to make riding the system easier for senior and  disabled customers.

For seniors, a free packet contains a large print Rider’s Guide for Seniors with a wide selection of basic information, including Metro bus and rail fares, safety tips and contact numbers for lost-and-found, a special TAP User’s Guide with everything seniors need to know about obtaining and using a reduced-fare pass on TAP and a Senior Pocket Guide containing essential system details.

For the disabled, there is a Guide for Riders with Disabilities, a TAP Users’s Guide for disabled passengers and a brochure detailing services provided by Metro regarding the use of safety straps to secure wheelchairs and other mobility devices when traveling on buses.

Packets are available at Metro Customer Centers or by mail. To receive one, call 213-922-7023.
