A graduate of Cal State Northridge’s journalism school, Shel Segal has been covering news and sports throughout California – and mainly in Southern California – for nearly 20 years. He has covered everything from the president to Major League Baseball and everything in between. Shel has served as editor of the Santa Clara Weekly and Buena Park-Anaheim Independent, as well as being a reporter for Times Community News, Fontana Herald News and Milpitas Post, to name a few of the publications for which he has written before coming to the West Valley Journal/Monterey Park Journal.
