Monterey Park city council is looking for a new city manager and will interview five head hunters at a special meeting scheduled on Tuesday, April 20, 7 p.m.

The Open meeting will be held in Room 266 on the second floor of city hall. According to a meeting agenda, the meeting at 7 p.m. is open to the public. It will be followed by a closed session titled "City Manager/Executive Management."

Earlier this year, the council fired city manager June Yotsuya and appointed the Interim Police Chief Jim Smith as acting city manager. They then appointed veteran manager Don McIntyre as Interim City Manager.

The consultants to be interviewed include RJA Management Services, Bob Murray & Associates, Slavin Management Consultants, Avery Associates and Roberts Consulting grouup.
