Monterey Park will hold a free "Earth Day Town Hall Event" on Saturday, April 24, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Barnes Park Services Club House, 440 S. McPherrin Ave.

The event will include several expert panelists and offers a free lunch for all the atttendees. The Earth Day Event is hosted by the City Environmenetal Commission. It will feature presentations by Assemblyman Mike Eng, Southern California Edison talking about Smart Meters, Public Works Department discussion on green projects, and the city's storm water program.
