A public forum on the proposed development of luxury homes at 2400 S. Fremont Avenue in Alhambra will be held Thursday, Oct. 20, 6 p.m. at the Alhambra Library.
According to the “Alhambra Source” a volunteer website, some residents of the Midwick Tract are opposing the development because of concerns for increased traffic, over crowding and conflict with community design.
Residents have been attending government meetings to hear about the proposal.
A company called City Ventures has proposed 93 luxury homes on the site. The proposed plan must go before the city’s Planning Commission and Design Review Board before consideration by the City Council
In addition to the City meeting on October 20, City Councilman Gary Yamauchi has pledged to have a representative of the developer as his scheduled town hall meeting on Saturday, Oct. 22 11 a.m. at the Ruth Reese Hall in the Alhambra Library.
