Free Computer Classes

Free Computer Classes in the
Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library

Starting in January, the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library, 318 S. Ramona Avenue, Monterey Park will offer a series of basic computer and Internet classes in Spanish on Monday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. in the library’s Computer Lab for teens and adults.

Each class is a 90-minute, hands-on class designed for people with little or no experience with computers.

Modules will include: “Basic Mouse Skills,” Internet, E-mail and Basic Word.
“Basic Mouse Skills” focuses on operating the mouse device.

Students will learn to point, click, drag, drop and get around the Windows environment. This class is designed for people with no experience whatsoever with computers.

Internet is for people new to computers but comfortable with the mouse with an emphasis on the web browser and simple search techniques.

E-mail gives an overview of web-based E-mail accounts, including how to set up an account and how to use it.

The dates are:
January 28 “Basic Mouse Skills”
February 25 Internet
March 24 E-mail
