A swarm of earthquakes centered east of La Habra were felt in West San Gabriel communities on Friday, March 28.
The shakers struck shortly after 8 p.m. with the strongest quake at magnitude 5.1 occuring shortly after 9 p.m.
No damage or injuries were reported locally. No reports of injuries were received near the epicenter of the quakes.
However, local damage was reported in the communities of Fullerton and La Habra. Reports of natural gas leaks were being investigated by local public safety authorities.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was relatively shallow and originated about 1.2 miles underground.
