California Highway Patrol has advised there there will be brief traffic interruptions on the SR-60 freeway due to Southern California Edison construction in South El Monte and unincorporated Los Angeles County.
SCE project crews will be using a helicopter to install wire on electric transmission structures and to position equipment and personnel.
Construction began September 4 and will continue through September 18, Monday – Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m and Sunday, September 14 (5 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
The construction is located north and south of the SR-60 Freeway between the Peck Road exit and the I-605 Freeway
CHP said their will be periods of brief traffic interruptions during this work to ensure the safety of the public and project personnel.
Southern California Edison (SCE) is currently upgrading the electrical transmission system in your area as part of SCE’s Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project (TRTP).
