How Much Rain Did We Get?

  • By David Barron

The Quad Cities of Monterey Park, Alhambra, Rosemead and San Gabriel got more than two inches of rain as a result of a storm that struck the area and the entire state on Thursday night and Friday, Dec.  11-12.

Over the hills to the south, Montebello also experienced severe rain fall from the same storm.

Scattered power outages occurred throughout the area with at least 1000 Edison customers out of power on Friday morning. Local authorities did not report any serious damage, with the exception of a few fallen trees resulting from the strong winds that accompanied the rainfall.

National Weather Service is predicting continued scattered rain showers throughout the coming week, with 60% chance of rain on Monday.
