Save Postage, Drop Off 'Mail Ballot'

  • By David Barron

The Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk will be offering new Will Call Ballot Pickup and Ballot Drop-Off locations for voters normally “voting by mail” during the June 2016 Primary Election at 11 locations throughout Los Angeles. County.

The nearest location to West San Gabriel Valley voters is in East Los Angeles at 4716 Cesar Chavez Ave. in the county building. The location is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. 4p.m.
The other nearest drop off locations are in Pasadena or Pomona. Check the Register Recorders website for the address of other locations.
These locations will give voters a new in-person option for completing and returning their Vote by Mail ballots. Voting booths will be setup in dedicated areas to allow voters to mark and complete their Vote by Mail ballots, if they choose.
This new program looks to provide voters with an additional voting opportunity in the upcoming election and save on the postage.
Voters currently have the option to request a Vote by Mail ballot, online or over the phone, and pick it up at the location of their choice.
Voters can start requesting ballots on May 23rd and can pick them up beginning May 28th through June 6th.
