ROSEMEAD CITY COUNCIL MEETING – Tuesday, April 8, 2008, 7:00 p.m. Rosemead City Council meeting will take place at Rosemead Community Recreation Center, 3936 N. Muscatel Ave., and Rosemead. All citizens are invited. Attendance is free.



Alhambra City Council will meet Monday, April 14, 7 p.m. in the council chambers, second floor of City Hall. Alhambra will discuss a new ordinance to prohibit paroled sex offenders.

Monterey Park City Council will meet Wednesday, April 17, the City Hall council chambers.


Thurs. April 17, 6 p.m. Assemblyman Mike Eng (D–Monterey Park) will host a community meeting to discuss the state’s $8 billion budget deficit and its possible effects on the 49th Assembly District. The event, which is scheduled for Thursday, April 17th from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Alhambra City Council Chambers, will consist of brief presentations by state budget experts and local community leaders. ALHAMBRA ROTARY CLUB – Saturday, April 19, 2008, the Rotary Club of Alhambra invites you to participate in its annual Peppy Sciarra Heart Walk (Peppy’s el Paseo del Corazon) at Tri-Star Vending, 690 S. Date Ave., Alhambra. Registration at 9:30 a.m. Walk at 10:00 a.m. Registration is $25. Proceeds will benefit the Heart Institute, Children’s Hospital, and Los Angeles. ALHAMBRA SCHOOL DISTRICT ARTS FESTIVAL – Friday, April 25, 2008, 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Alhambra Unified School District will hold a Community Visual and Performing Arts Festival at Alhambra High School. SAN GABRIEL CELEBRATES 95 YEARS – Friday, April 25 through Sunday, April 27

San Gabriel Chamber of Commerce will celebrate city’s 95th year of incorporation with the Annual Street Festival from April 25-27 on Mission Drive in the historic San Gabriel Mission District. Admission is free. There is a charge for refreshments. For information call (626) 576-2525.
