MPK: Here's How to Ride in the City Parade May 16

Groups, organizations and private companies can now apply to ride FREE in Monterey Park city birthday parade schedule on Saturday, May 16 in Downtown Monterey Park.

The parade, also called the "Play Day's Parade," will be celebrating the City's 99th birthday and will be a precursor to the city's centennial. Participation in the parade can be with a marching or walking groups, a convertible or truck that is decorated with at least a banner and flag to identify the riders. There is no charge to be in the parade, but all participants must file an application. Applications are available at the City Recreation Department at city hall or by downloading this link.

Local organizations are also invited to participate by hosting game or food booths during a three day festival held at Barnes Park on May 15-17.
