Local People Ran in L.A. Marathon

  • By David Barron

A number of local residents and city employees ran in the 2015 L.A. Marathon through Los Angeles City Streets on Sunday, March 15. Several of them were "Legacy" runners who have run in each of the 30 marathons since the event began.

Among the Legacy runners were T.C. Chung, a current resident of Monterey Park, and Louis Fernandez who was raised in Monterey Park and currently resides in North Carolina. Also running was Henry Low, field representative for Assemblyman Ed Chau.

A group of runners were all Monterey Park City Employees who called themselves the "Team MPK Pacemakers" also participated. There probably scores of other local residents who participated in the Marathon. (Please send us an email at This email address is being protected from spambots.
