Robinson Runs in JayCee Track Championships

Dario Robinson, a freshman at Cerritos College and Monterey Park resident, recently participated at the California State Junior College Track and Field Championships recently.


Robinson placed third at the SoCal Junior College Championships and moved on to represent Monterey Park and Cerritos College. He placed 2nd in the California Junior College Track and Field Championships in San Mateo, California, in the High Hurdles, as a freshman.
In addition to a 2nd Place win in the California State Junior College Track and Field Championships, he was honored as Freshman of the Year by the coaching staff at Cerritos College at their annual banquet.
Dario and his sister, Darlena, both hold Schurr High School 110 HH and 100 m hurdle records respectively. Darlena Robinson broke the Almont League record and Schurr High School record in the girls 100m hurdles, as a sophomore. Darlena was honored at Schurr High School as Girl Most Valuable Athlete at their annual banquet.
Dario’s father, Delario Robinson, is a community Leader in Monterey Park and a former college track star and former professional football player.
