ROSEMEAD -- With the city election just a week away, a light agenda will face council members when they meet for the regular meeting on Feb. 26 at city hall, located at 8838 East Valley Boulevard.
Topping the list of agenda items will be the proclamation of Safe Communities Month and honors for the Rosemead High girls' varsity basketball team. The team just won its fifth consecutive Mission Valley League title.

Next on the agenda will be routine approval of minutes and claims/demands.
Rounding out the meeting will be to recommendations to relieve traffic conditions on Loftus Drive, east of Temple City Boulevard. Staff is recommending installation of red curbing at the southwest corners of two intersections: Loftus Drive/Brooline Avenue and Loftus Drive/Strang Avenue. They also recommend the installation of "Keep Clear" pavement markings at the two interesections.
Upcoming city events include the city election on March 5, a community yard sale on March 9 at the Edison southwest Parking lot and Easter Egg event at Garvey Park on March 30.
