Sheriffs to Give Update on Rosemead Burglaries

The latest statistics on home and car burglaries in Rosemead will be discussed when the city Public Safety Department hosting its monthly Community Safety Meeting on Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 7 p.m. at the Public Safety Center located at 8301 Garvey Ave. Deputy Farley from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Rosemead Special Assignment Team, will provide an update on home and vehicle burglaries that have occurred in Rosemead between January and March 2013.

At this meeting, participants will be informed about “hardening the target” so that they do not become the a victim of a residential or vehicle burglary.

In addition, the workshop will provide tips on how to safe guard your homes and vehicles and how to stay alert to discourage burglars from victimizing the community. This is a free workshop open to the public. The city extends a special invitation to Neighborhood Block Captains, block groups, school officials, business owners, and concerned residents.

These monthly Community Safety Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month. The program is part of the Public Safety Department’s continued efforts to promote personal and neighborhood safety.
