Rosemead Installs Polly Low as Mayor

PollyLow WebVersNew Rosemead Mayor Polly Low will be formally sworn into office tonight (April 9, 2013) at the regular meeting of the Rosemead City Council.

Although Low is on her second term of office as a council member, this is the first time she will lead the council as Mayor.

At the same meeting Councilman William Alarcon will be sworn in as Mayor Pro Tem.

Other matters on the agenda will include a traditional resolution acknowledging the Vitnamese American Heritage and Freedom Flag. The Vietnamese Freedom flag will be flown alongside the U.S. Flag on light posts on Valley Boulevard between Walnut Grove Avenue and Mission Drive on Sunday, April 28 and Sunday May 5. The flags will be flown in a manner consistent with the protocol specified in the U.S. Flag Code.

Following the installation of the new mayor and mayor pro tem, a reception will be held.
