Rosemead Public Safety CONNECTIONS Forum is hosting a Mental Health Awareness workshop, Understanding our Loved Ones Who Suffer with Mental Illness onThursday (May 16) 7:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. at the Public Safety Center, 8301 Garvey Avenue.
This workshop is free and open to the public. Parents and families are encouraged by the city to attend. In “Our Own Voice Presenters” from the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) will share their personal stories about how they cope with mental illness while creating rich and meaningful lives. “This unique presentation offers insight into the hope and recovery possible for people living with mental illness, the city press release stated.
