The upcoming Rosemead City Council meeting on Tuesday night will be kicked off with interviews to appoint someone to the Sister Cities Commission and a presentation to the council of the new Miss Rosemead, Taymar Quezada.
The council will also be deciding to adopt its fiscal year budget of nearly $36 million.
The council is scheduled to hold a public hearing on whether or not liens should be imposed on residents who do not pay their trash collection bills on time.
Other items to be discussed by the council include adoption of the city’s fiscal year appropriations limit, a talk on what to do about missing shopping carts throughout the city and a discussion on the optional contract extension for street sweeping services.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
