Rosemead Council To Appoint New Commissioners

The Rosemead City Council will be holding a special meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Rosemead City Hall to hold interviews for and make appointment s to the traffic and planning commissions.
When the regular meeting starts at 7 p.m., the council will first hear a presentation on an update regarding the Pomona Freeway by South El Monte City Council Member Joseph Gonzales.
The council will also entertain an idea proclaiming July as “Parks Make July Better!” month.
After that, the council will decide whether to continue to retain one probation officer on contract from Los Angeles County, decide whether to approve the city’s option to extend street sweeping services with Athens Services and hear a report from City Manager Jeff Allred on how the city will decide to keep taping its public meetings in the future.
