Rosemead Residents Can Sign-up for Emergency Email & Text Notices

Rosemead, CA - Rosemead residents can now receive accurate, timely emergency information and public safety updates through a city partnership with NIXLE corporation.

NIXLE Corporation provides community notifications in quickly with email and text messages.

 

NIXLE Corporation’s vast secure community notification system will allow citizens to join the public network and receive community alerts and advisories direct to their mobile phone or computer.

To sign-up for NIXLE, please go to www.cityofrosemead.org and click on the NIXLE icon (bottom of the page on the right hand corner) or go to www.nixle.com.

NIXLE allows alerts or advisories to be sent from the scene of any incident quickly, to promptly inform the public.

Residents can determine the kind of alerts they want to receive, and can be assured that the information is accurate and reliable, according to Many Wong of the city’s public safety center.

“This is another effort by the City of Rosemead to help residents prepare for emergencies. Like Rosemead’s e-alert system, NIXLE is another tool to get information to residents, she reported.

In addition, NIXLE is now being used by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s and many city police departments to send free geographically-specific e-mails and advisories, traffic incidents, road closures, wanted persons, missing person, crime trends, and more.
