The new businesses are the Lotus Learning Center, an educational assistance center, and Omni Salon, offering hair and beauty services. The Lotus Center assists children and adults with a variety of educational needs in today's highly competitive world.

Jason Waggoner, who manages the Lotus Center, is a graduate of Stanford University. He has 10 years teaching experience, English as a second language experience and has taught in South Korea and Taiwan.

Omni Saln is directed by Sylvia Nigro, who invited local residents to take advanange of grand opening specials now being offered until Feb. 13.
