UPDATE: Applications Now Available for Monterey Park 'Fire Committee' PDF Print E-mail

Monterey Park - Applications are now available for persons interested in serving on a "Fire Committee" and help the city review a report on the proposed transfer of the city fire department to the county fire district.
The formation of a "Fire Committee" is required under an initiative ordinance passed by the voters several years ago.

MONTEREY PARK - A man was shot and killed by Monterey Park Police Department officers Monday morning around 9:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Avenida Cesar Chavez - right next to East Los Angeles College - after officers received a call a man was breaking windows at the Carl's Jr. restaurant on the corner of Chavez and Atlantic Boulevard, officials said.
