San Gabriel will celebrate May as “Senior Health and Fitness Month” with a fair on Thursday, May 26 in the Tent Area of the Adult Recreation Center at 324 S. Mission Drive. The event is being organized by the Parks and Recreation Department along with Vista Cove of San Gabriel. The fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants can obtain free information on health and wellness services available throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Services available on the day of the event will include blood pressure checks, glucose testing and spinal screening. A complimentary lunch sponsored by Inland Empire Stages will be provided to all registered senior participants. All participants will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win door prizes supplied by the Health & Wellness providers.
