PREP SWIMMING: Rosemead Girls Open Season with Win

ROSEMEAD - Rosemead High School girl's varsity swim team opened the season with a close 68-62 win against Temple City High School Rams at Rosemead Park Pool on Feb. 28, 2016. Temple City won the boys varsity meet 99-49.

  Prestin Ling won the 100 meters Backstroke as Rosemead's only boys varsity winner of the day.

  In the girls meet, Junae Huynh won two events and Hailey Duong placed second twice and third once to help the host Panthers to the close victory.

  Huynh won the 200 meters Individual Medley and 100 meters Breaststroke races, while Duong was second in both the 200 Individual Medley Relay and 100 meters Backstroke, and placed third in the 100 meters Fly races. Rosemead's Sydney Tan won the 100 Fly and was third in the 100 Breaststroke. Rosemead teammates Allison Nguyen-Thai won the 200 Individual Medley Relay and Emily Regan was third in the 200 Individual Medley for the Panthers.
