Mission Valley League Champion Rosemead High School girl's basketball team led 23-9 at halftime and 36-21 in second half to improve to 20-7 overall. Junior guards Sydney Hua and Melody Gauthier led Rosemead with 13 points each, as Hua added nine steals and five assists and used deft ball-handling on the press, Gauthier added seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocked shots.

Boys team lost to Renaissance Academny 68 to 42.. Aztec Cameron Wong scored 16 points. With this pre-season loss, Keppel fell to 10 - 7 record.

Keppel Girls

Lady Aztecs are resting easy after an excellent 12 - 2 pre-season record. They will open the season on Jan. 9 against Alhambra.

FULLERTON - 2/19/11 - The Mark Keppel High girls' basketball team defeated host Sunny Hills High Saturday night, 60-40, in the second round of the CIF Southern Section playoffs. The Aztecs will host Mayfair High 7 p.m. Wednesday night in the quarterfinals.
