PREP SPORTS: Huge Rosemead Cross Country Invite Includes 99 High Schools on Sept. 9-10

Rosemead High School's Annual Cross Country Invitational at Rosemead High School and Rosemead Park next to the high school "at night" has grown to a record 99 high schools this year, announced Meet Director Fidel Dominguez.

  The meet has free admission and some of the top boys and girls cross country teams in California will be competing at Rosemead.


    The meet wil have 10 races, starting with freshmern girls at 5:10 p.m. and concluding the start of the boys sweepstakes race at 9:25.p.m.  Small schools will compete on Friday, Sept. 9, and large schools on Saturday, Sept. 10. All races start and end at Rosemead High School.

  Among the local teams competing on Sept, 9, are Don Bosco, Gabrielino, Ramona Convent,  Rosemead, San Gabriel, San Gabriel Mission, and South El Monte.  Among local large schools competing on Sept. 10, is Montebello.
