            San Gabriel -- San Gabriel Academy girls varsity volleyball team will play Capistrano Valley Christian for the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section Division 9 Playoff Championship on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at Cerritos College. The match will start at 9 a.m.

              San Gabriel -- San Gabriel Academy has won two matches to move into California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section CIFSS Division 9 girl's varsity volleyball playoff semi-finals on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016 against Tarbut V Torah High School. The semi-final match will be at San Gabriel Academy. In previous playoff action, San Gabriel Academy defeated Bishop Diego 3-0, won against Bishop Conaty Loretto by a score of 3-1, and won 3-2 against Trinity Classical Academy.

Kaitlyn Enriquez led Rosemead High with 9 kills and four blocks in defeating El Monte last week on Oct. 20, 2015 in Mission Valley League girls volleyball action.

class="gkFeaturedItemTitle" PREP SPORTS: Alhambra Volleyball Loses 3-1 at Rosemead

  Alhambra High School girls volleyball team visited Rosemead High School looking for its first win of the season on Sept. 7, and instead Rosemead High School won its first match of the season to improve to 1-4, while Alhambra fell to 0-6.

 Rosemead won the first two sets 25-17 and 25-22, then Alhambra won the third set 25-11, with Rosemead winning the fourth set 25-21. Annika Gonzales led Rosemead with 19 digs.

class="gkFeaturedItemTitle" PREP SPORTS: West Covina Stays Unbeaten with VBall Win at Rosemead

  Rosemead -- Visiting West Covina High School varsity girls volleyball team won 3-0 against host Rosemead High School in a non league match on Sept. 6, 2016. West Covina won 25-16, 25-22 and 28-26.

  After an easier win in the first match, West Covina and Rosemead played pretty even in the second and third match wins by West Covina. Rosemead even led in the second and third matches before losing by close scores.
