class="gkFeaturedItemTitle" PREP WRESTLING: Rosemead 12th at its Madrigal West Coast Classic

         ROSEMEAD -- In its biggest Louie Madrigal West Coast Wrestling Classic in recent years, Rosemead High School boys varsity wrestling team finished 12th among the 45 high schools who participated on Dec. 16-17, 2016, at Rosemead High School.

  Rosemead High School Wrestling Coach Justin Rosien said the competitors included many who probably will qualify for the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section (CIFSS) wrestling meets in a few weeks.

Rosemead -- Rosemead High School boys and girls wrestling program held its 26th Annual Louie Madrigal West Coast Classic on Dec. 18-19, with 46 high schools from western USA participating.Valley local Thien Luu of Arroyo High School in El Monte was named Most Valuable Player for lower weights as he finished undefeated in the tourney in the 145 pounds weight class. Luu was 5-0 with five falls on his way to his title.

Wrestling1AEL MONTE - 1/6/11 - The Rosemead High varsity wrestling squad defeated host Mountain View High, 65-13, on Thursday in the first Mountain View League dual meet of the season. In addition, the junior varsity team defeated the Vikings, 48-12.
